AIR RAIDS

81ST DECEMBER 24TH DECEMBE

I beg to report the following aerial attacks by

enemy planes and damages sustained by the kailway between the

21st and 24th instant: -

21ST DECEMBER

LUM TSUN.

Between 15.45 and 14.00 hours the Railway was

attacked by 3 enemy planes, when 6 bombs were dropped between

Km. 103/6 and 104/3. No damage was done to the Railway except

that the track at Km. 108/11 was covered up with earth which

was immediately cleared up for trains to pass.

83RD DECEMBER.

TIN TONG WAI. Between 9.40 and 10.00 hours 3 enemy

planes attacked the Railway and dropped 2 bombs at Km. 119/0

and 1 at Km. 119/14, but without damage to the Railway.

were also dropped at Km. 119/8 where a pair of rails was

slightly damaged.

CHRUNG MUK TOU. At about 14.40 hours the Railway was

again attacked when 2 enemy planes dropped 2 bombs at Cheung

Muk Tou station platform, damaging a concrete goods-shelter,

about 40 lineal ft of concrete station fencing and all the

telegraph and telephone wires. The station building was

slightly damaged. 1 bomb was also dropped at Km. 110/6, but

without damage to the Railway.

84TH DECEMBER.

LUM TSUN At about 10.25 hours an enemy plane attacked

the kailway and dropped 2 bamba at Km. 104 on the middle of
